I will never understand why Americans call their bastardized version of rugby "football". The players barely ever use their feet. And what does "soccer" signify? C'est ridicule. Wouldn't it be so much less confusing to call "soccer" by its rightful name and call (American) "football" something else, probably in the rugby family? 90% of the rest of the world refers to "soccer" by its real name. There's a point where "individuality" just becomes "confusing nonsense." Mon Dieu.
